1. Make a commitment to yourself
All health and fitness programs begin with a desire to change. Are you ready to make a commitment to yourself and your future life. Only you can decide what it is you want to achieve. Only you can decide how much time and effort you are willing to put into the process of change. Only you can make that commitment to yourself. Are you willing to do so? If you are, then the team at Efit121 can help you do all that and more. Are you ready to make a commitment to yourself.
2. Makeover your mind as well as your body
Our mind can be our strongest ally or our biggest foe. Tell yourself you can, that you are worth the time and the effort. By creating the right mindset you can begin to create the right "body set" too. Every day you decide to follow the training program and nutritional plan you are breaking through your barriers to create a healthier and fitter you.
3. Give time - time
Here at E-fit121 we can help reduce the time it takes for you to reach your goals. We will work with you to show you the best, fastest and healthiest ways to help you reach your targets. Our 12 week challenge to a new you provides you with a personal deadline that you can use to make some lasting changes. 12 weeks may seem like a long time, but you won't believe how fast the time will pass. Make an appointment to see our training facilities in CanningVale, Perth, WA to see how we can help you.
4. Create a training schedule that works for you
When you begin a new exercise program, habit is important. You need to make sure your schedule is flexible so you can exercise on a regular basis. If you find yourself making excuses as to why you can't exercise, check your schedule for conflicting uses of your time and see if you can't make some changes so you don't lose your training momentum.
5. Keep a food diary and exercise journal
We can be forgiven for failing to remember how much we have eaten and how much exercise we have done especially if it is not written down. Make a note of everything you consume and how much exercise you do so you can make adjustments to your routine as you progress.
6. Set small challenges and targets
If your goal is to lose weight you may get discouraged when things don't seem to be working as fast as you had hoped. Similarly if you had hoped to gain strength from training you need to start with small weights before you can lift heavier ones. Remember, small accomplishments over time equals massive results.
7. Work with someone you can trust
Associate with the correct people. Training partners, coaches and mentors can be an essential part of our training program success. We need people who can support us in our goals and efforts. Don't rely on people who don't understand the benefits of good nutrition, health and exercise to offer you advice. Obviously we here at E-fit121 in Perth, WA is an organisation dedicated to help you achieve all your training goals.
8. Delay gratification
What are you willing to give up today for a better you tomorrow? Health and fitness is a long-term commitment, a life-time commitment actually. But you can reach your goal(s) faster if you stop those behaviours which do not currently serve you for ones that do. When we delay gratification we can achieve our goals faster.
9. Celebrate the "wins"
Set yourself some interim goals and targets. In doing so you can "celebrate" reaching each milestone on your way to success. It is important to enjoy both the journey and the destination. But a word of caution - make the "celebration" suitable for each "win".
10. Be persistent and consistent
It is a good idea to schedule your exercise / training days for the same time and same days each week. Treat your exercise like any other appointment - then keep your appointments with yourself.
11. Understand setbacks are part of the journey
Injury, illness, family commitments, a change in work schedule can all have an impact on your training program. Make sure you get the all clear from your health practitioner before re-starting after injury and illness. Then start with a light workout to get your mind and your body used to the process of exercise again and you will move forwards easily.
12. Enjoy the process of change
If you don't enjoy the journey it is unlikely you will enjoy the end result. Health and fitness is not something you can start and stop and retain the benefits. So it is essential to enjoy what you are doing. We are so confident in our training we know that once you see changes happening you will be even more motivated to continue. Come and speak to the team at E-fit121 based in CanningVale, Perth, WA to see how we can help you make those changes.
