Summer is coming: Are you going to be "fit"?

Summer is coming, no surprises there. But it never ceases to amaze me how many people wait until the warmer weather arrives BEFORE deciding to do something about shedding their winter layers.

Go on admit it, you're covered up during the colder months, no-one is going to see the spare tyre of belly fat, the love handles and the less than impressive abs are they. So what do we do? We eat and hope we get inspired to exercise and lose weight when the warmer weather arrives.

Truthfully though, we need to ensure our exercise habits are exactly that - a habit, something that we do regardless of weather or how we feel. Sure it takes a little longer to get warmed up and we may not feel like shedding the outer layers, but then we get started and...

But is it too late to start exercising so we look good for summer?

Quick Answer: NO - it is never too late to start working out. If you have never worked out before, or you have health or medical issues it is always a good idea to get the all clear from the doctor first. It is also a good idea to work with a trainer or a gym that can show you what to do - so you don't hurt yourself. Start slowly and build up the intensity as you get fitter. As you get fitter, you will see a noticeable improvement in your health, you will more likely sleep better, have more energy as a result - AND your clothes will start to fit better... who knows, you may need to buy an entirely new wardrobe as a result of starting to exercise, losing fat and toning up. In fact I know lots of people who have done exactly that. So why not you.

Are you going to make a commitment to a healthier, slimmer and more toned you?

Go on you know you want to, after all Summer is coming

I really agree with your suggestion that If you have never worked out before, or you have health or medical issues it is always a good idea to get the all clear from the doctor first as far as the starting of physical exercise is concerned.
