Ways to increase energy levels: Get outside and exercise

If you are feeling down chances are going to be good you probably won't want to exercise.

Did you know sitting around can sometimes make you feel worse?

While we do need to make sure we are not constantly on the go, which can drain our energy levels like nothing else can, we also need to make sure we are getting enough exposure to both sunlight and exercise.

It has been said that a walk of between 15 and 30 minutes a day can reduce the feelings of depression and the why is simple. Our bodies and our minds need Serotonin.

Boost your energy levels

Serotonin is the chemical in the brain which makes us feel happy, alive and energetic. It responds to sunlight, exercise and fresh air.

And did you know eating bananas can help the process too as they contain vitamin B6, vitamin C, and potassium. The latter makes them of particular interest to athletes who use them to quickly replenish their electrolytes. And if it's good enough a reason for athletes to eat them, who are we to disagree.
