Talking it up: Our minds can control our energy levels

You will always find time to do what you want to do. No seriously you will. And more importantly you can talk yourself into or out of doing most things - especially when it comes to exercise.

  • You can tell yourself you're not feeling 100% so you'll give the gym a miss.
  • You don't do as much as you could have - because you're not in the mood.

    Or the positive

  • Sorry, can't do that - need to go training, we've got a game on Sunday.

Our minds are very complex tools and depending on where we are focussing our thoughts will depend where we focus our energies.

So if you are tempted not to go to the gym / complete your training program for whatever reason, instead of talking yourself out of it, why not talk yourself into it instead.
