Increase energy levels: play more

Seriously - who said exercise had to be boring, repetitive and a chore?

I consider most things to be "exercise" - sure some of it may not look like exercise, but believe me it is.

  • Playing with the grandkids in the pool
  • Walking the dogs
  • Walking through the sand on the beach
  • Dancing
  • Gardening

They all use muscles, and most of them use a lot of muscles. Have you ever tried to scrub the floor on your hands and knees - talk about a great all over body workout - whether that could be classed as "fun" though is debatable - but you get my point.

The beauty of this kind of exercise is you don't know you are doing it. You always seem to have boundless energy and you burn off a lot of calories at the same time.

As you go through your day, work out what you could do to increase the amount of play time you can add into your day. Your body will love you for it.
