Abs are made in the kitchen NOT in the gym

Too many meals eaten out or on the run. Too many "treats", too much alcohol and not being mindful of what you are eating can quickly lead to weight plateaus and weight gains. If you have stalled on your weight loss goal and haven't changed how much exercise you are doing, you need to look at what you are eating / drinking and specifically the portion sizes.

Most of my clients (those who want one) are given a modified nutritional program. We don't call it a "diet" because we are not "on a diet" we are (or should  be) modifying what we consume so we can burn fat, lose weight and gain that lean shape we say we want. It works, when you follow the instructions and portion sizes, deviate a little and you "might" be alright at least in the short-term, deviate a lot and you will struggle to get the body you say you want, and yes flat stomachs and killer abs are possible - if you follow the "rules".

So, before you give up with your modified nutritional program, claiming it doesn't work. Write down everything you consume and compare it with the program. You may be eating the right foods, but too much of it. You might not have taken into account the sugar content of the yoghurt or salad dressings. How many glasses of wine did you have with dinner? Each tiny deviation can have a massive impact on the results you achieve. Go back to the original program, and see if you can't kick start your weight loss.
