Visualisation is an extremely powerful tool to overcoming temptation
Weight loss and fat loss in particular can be de-railed by temptation. And it doesn't take a lot of "temptation" to slow our progress as we can (and do) underestimate what we are eating and drinking - especially in company.
Have you ever been to a dinner party where the host tops up your wine glass almost without you noticing? Easily done and then of course we can't actually tell how many glasses of wine we have drunk. It's also easy to overeat on these occasions because we haven't prepared the food ourselves, we simply don't know what has gone into the dish. Our weeks of careful nutrition manipulation to eat the best foods for weight loss comes crashing to a halt as our body remembers the foods we have stopped eating, and we may be tempted to stop eating properly and "start again tomorrow".
When tempted with the ‘wrong’ foods, use visualisation as a tool – visualize how you will look when you have reached your goals – see yourself in the little black dress, or an item of clothing that you have wanted to fit into for so long, or see yourself in a swimsuit / bikini walking along the beach with the warm sun on your back, or running in your shorts – full of energy, wearing sleeveless tight tops etc.
Weight loss, fat loss and losing belly fat is not only possible, but can definitely occur if you follow the plan and don't let temptation de-rail your plans.
