Lose Fat: Drink more water

Do you want to lose fat? How much water do you drink per day? Something tells me it's probably not enough.

Water is THE best appetite supressant there is. Get yourself a nice filter jug and drink until you can't drink anymore, then fill it up and drink some more.

Sometimes when you think you are ‘hungry’ and you think you are ‘craving foods’ it's actually the body telling us it needs some water. Believe it or not, dehydration can cause us to hold onto water. The more water you drink the less bloated you will feel (takes about 3-5 days) as, believe it or not, water in enough quantity (>2.5L per day) is a diuretic!! If your body knows there is plenty of water coming in it will stop holding onto it therefore reducing the bloating, fluidy feeling. If you don't need to go to the loo then you are not drinking enough.

Before eating anything, try drinking 1-2 glasses of water. This one simple trick can get rid of:

a) the feeling of hunger

b) remove cravings

c) bloating

d) fat stores.

How?

When you do feel hungry, your body is telling you it thinks it needs food. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. Whilst it is a good idea to eat small meals on a regular basis, the craving to gorge ourselves on something we know is not going to do our diets any good can be eliminated by drinking water. If necessary - move away from whatever gave you the craving in the first place, or by getting busy.

If you don’t give in to those ‘hunger pangs’ your body will dip into your fat stores for the energy it needs which is exactly what we want. So if you want to lose fat, drink water - and lots of it.
