Lose Fat
Fat loss and losing fat are not the same as weight loss and losing weight. Your "weight" is made up of everything including your body fat content, muscle size and mass, the weight of your skin, organs, hair, blood and other fluids circulating around our bodies. We can all lose "weight" it's a little harder to lose fat.
Sustained fat loss occurs when we can tap into these resrevoirs of energy. The way we do that is to restrict the amount we consume to create a deficit of energy. If there is nothing to be broken down in our digestive system, the body has a choice - use the fat stores or use muscle mass. For the body it far easier to break down muscle tissue than it is to use the fat stores, which is why it is essential to maintain your exercise program as well as eating a balanced and healthy diet.
