Fitness training Australia > Are you making exercise a habit?

Winter has passed for another year, the mornings are getting.lighter and our daytime hours are getting longer. This means we have more daylight hours to get outside and exercise. If you have been planning on starting a new exercise habit of a daily walk for instance, now is the time to put those plans into place - before the heat of summer arrives. I think there is nothing worse than attempting a new habit when it's either too wet, too dark or way too hot. But now (apart from the last couple of days) is perfect weather to get more exercise into your day. Stick on your walking shoes and enjoy the air.

There are many benefits from "finding 30" - not least of course the endorphin rush that comes from exercise, but from the satisfaction that you did it. Add in a bit of power walking for an improved cardio vascular system, increased fat burning and over time a smaller, fitter, tighter you. Now that has got to be a good thing.

    When do you exercise?
    How long?
How are you going to incorporate more exercise into your day?

    Looking forward to the discussion

As I heard said recently - Djokovic did not wake up one morning suddenly able to perform at his peak for close to 6 hours! Training is about small steps leading to big goals. Michael Phelps was similar - he had certain rituals he created that allowed him to perform at his peak. But those rituals had to be completed day after day. I know I would be lost without my training schedule locked in place.
