What fitness goals are realistic?
If your health and fitness goal is to lose weight then you can lose between 1/2 and 2 kilos per week. If your health and fitness goal is to gain strength you will work with our personal trainers to reach your training goal quickly and safely. But you should start to see some changes almost immediately. Our 12-week to a new you program should see between a 6 and 24 kilo weight reduction (depending on personal circumstances), but more importantly our nutrition plans ensure that it is fat you lose and not important muscle.
How long does it take to get fit?
Every day you decide to exercise you are "getting fit". If you have never done any kind of exercise at all and could be considered to be overweight it may take some time before you notice you are improving. Here in our personal training Perth based studio, we will encourage you, work with you and challenge you to gain better fitness in the fastest but safest way possible.Why not try our 12 week to a new you program and see just how fast you can make a difference to your health and fitness.
Who will train me?
We work together and individually based on a person(s) or group(s) own needs. You can of course work with whomever you feel most comfortable with - honestly we don't mind. When you visit our training facilities in CanningVale, Perth, WA you can decide, or why not ask us to alternate your personal training sessions, we are very flexible and will work with you and your requirements to help you achieve your goals.
What's a typical fitness session?
Each personal training session is based on you and your needs, and will change as you gain strength and confidence. We use a variety of free-weights, machine based weights and cardiovascular techniques and machines to best fit your personal training program. You will always be challenged, you will be asked to use pieces of equipment you may never have seen before, but most of all you will have fun whilst getting toned and fit.
Where will I train?
We have our own training facility and gym at CanningVale, Perth,WA; we also utilize the outdoor areas surrounding our CanningVale studios especially when it comes to boot camp. We have a range of cardio equipment as well as machine based weights, but we also utilize a lot of composite exercises utilizing more than one set of muscle groups to give you an all over work out.
What's the success rate?
The success rate depends on a persons own goals and commitment to the training and nutritional program. You will have heard the saying "you only get out what you are willing to put in" and that is so true of any kind of personal training and exercise program. Are you willing to succeed? Only you can decide.
How much will it cost?
No messy contracts, you pay for the number of personal training sessions you want. For those who want to pay up front, we do offer a loyalty program. If you buy 10 sessions get 1 free. There is no better motivation for you to turn up for personal training than paying up front. But it is up to you. Why not try a couple of sessions and then decide if you want to commit to a longer program.
How long is my commitment?
Again that depends on your own needs and commitment to a personal training program. However, you can also pay for a single personal training session if you would like to learn some tips, tricks and techniques before you go it alone. To be fair though, we can't show you every trick, tip and technique in one half-hour personal training session as there just isn't time. Our most popular program is our 12 week to a new you program. If you have a particular reason to get fit, lose weight and need to do so BEFORE a certain date - then the 12 week to a new you program is the program for you.
Are there additional costs involved?
All you need to begin any kind of fitness or training program is a decent pair of trainers / runners and some sweat pants and t-shirts. Ladies you may also like to invest in some good support if you don't have any. Any additional items such as heart rate monitors or pedometers is entirely up to you, but are not necessary in the beginning.
How do you assess my fitness?
We use a range of measures to assess your fitness levels. Once you have decided to try our personal training in Perth, we begin your program with a health and medical assessment to give us a baseline, we discuss your current exercise / fitness levels and we take a range of measurements, including skin-fold tests, weight and girth measurements as these are the best way to track progress. Each week at our personal training facilities in Perth we weigh you, and every 4th week we re-measure you. After 4 weeks you may be stronger, fitter and smaller for instance but you may weigh the same on the scale (a kilo of muscle takes up half the space of a kilo of fat). However, there is the added bonus that you will fit into your clothes a LOT better.
