Apart from giving up the beer? :-)
Beer is made up of certain compounds (eostrogens) which can promote the storage of belly fat in certain people, and can affect both men and women. However, beer may not be the only culprit and you will need to look at your entire diet to see how many calories you are consuming. If beer does seem to be the biggest problem and you still want to enjoy a glass or two, try switching to a low carb alternative to see if that makes a difference. Just remember, it takes time to create a beer belly, so don't expect it to disappear overnight. But with a sensible eating plan AND regular exercise you can reduce the size of your beer gut.

I was hoping you weren't going to say that. So, no magic bullet then? It really is down to normal eating / drinking and doing some exercise then?

Absolutely, sorry George. But please read some of the other posts as they may give you some additional help / inspiration.

Do you have the typical "beer belly" is there any way you can get rid of it?
