Toning up your body: You need to make exercise a habit
We can all be guilty of letting life get in the way of our exercise routines, especially if we haven't made exercise a habit.
Exercise as a habit is important. If we want to tone up quickly, then we do need to exercise on a regular basis - in other words, we need to make exercise a major part of our every day lives.
However, we should not just consider one sort of exercise will keep us fit and toned, what we do need is a varied exercise program and one that we can incorporate into our day-to-day lives to do the trick.
So it is important to look at our entire body.
Whilst walking for instance is a great way to tone up the legs, butt, hips and can whittle the waistline, it doesn't do as much for our upper body. How many times do you pump your arms when you walk? Not very often I would hazard a guess, but that is what we need to do to make our upper body toned as well.
But we can of course do other things, we can play a game of tennis or squash with a colleague once a week. We get a massive dose of cardio as well as fun and laughter and we get to tone our entire body while we play. Or how about swimming - a great way to tone our entire body without stressing the joints (also great for rehab). And of course we should incorporate several sessions of weights / load bearing exercise into the program as well.
You may be thinking, but I can't fit all that in to my week.
And I would challenge you to say, yes you can, if you decide to make exercise a habit and the first thing you put on your schedule.
